Nuts instead of carbohydrates to adjust blood sugar level

New research study confirmed that eating half a cup of nuts a day instead of candy helps diabetics control the harmful cholesterol and sugar levels in the blood.

A new study conducted by researchers from the University of Toronto on a sample of 117 adult in type 2 diabetics, so divided the sample into two groups: the first was given a half cup of unsalted liqueur per day instead of the usual the carbohydrate foods, the second group dispensed with carbohydrate dessert made from whole wheat, not add any sugar, for three months.

And I've found that harmful cholesterol and blood sugar in people in the first group have recorded a significant decline, while the second sample did not achieve that wheat had no decrease in cholesterol or blood sugar.

And the researchers concluded that-according to Reuters news site-adding nuts in your daily meals for diabetic may help to adjust blood sugar and cholesterol. He attributed the Chairman of the Group of researchers-Dr Cyril Kendall Cyril Kendall-the nuts are rich in unsaturated fats that work to reduce the chances of heart disease, and that nuts contain protein, and low in fibre, the amount of urinary phenol which act as antioxidant antioxidants, but also warned against excessive intake of alcohol because they contain a large amount of calories. So it is advisable not to rely on eating nuts to adjust the sugar, but can be added as an ingredient in diets for diabetic health.

As for diabetics who don't like eating nuts in food, head of the team of researchers are advised to use other sources of unsaturated fats, like olive oil, avocados, instead of other foods rich in carbohydrates.

Team leader confirms researchers that basic rule to keep your blood sugar level at each patient are: balanced eating healthy food and exercise regularly, in addition to systematically taking medicines.
